I’m delighted to be bringing accredited Mindfulness Now Teacher Training to Northern Ireland for the first time.

This October I will be offering an immersive five-day training experience in the beautiful Fermanagh Lakelands.

For me, this feels like a particularly special place to begin a new chapter for Mindfulness Now in Northern Ireland. The combination of mindfulness practice, professional learning and the natural environment creates an opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life, slow down and reconnect with what matters.

If you’re searching for mindfulness teacher training in Northern Ireland, you may already have a sense that mindfulness could become an important part of your personal or professional life. Perhaps you have an established mindfulness practice and want to deepen your understanding. Or maybe you work in healthcare, education, yoga, therapy, coaching or wellbeing and would like to add mindfulness skills to your existing professional toolkit. Maybe you’re considering a new career and would like to train as a mindfulness teacher.

This five-day intensive training is designed to give you the knowledge, practical teaching skills and confidence to begin sharing mindfulness with others.

Welcome to Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a form of meditation that focusses on the present moment; it is not about ‘clearing your mind’, instead it is about witnessing thoughts, feelings and sensations as they arise without judgement. Much of our suffering is caused by the stories we tell ourselves about our thoughts, emotions or feelings. Through mindfulness we can become aware of these negative and repetitive habits of thought and, with practice, can learn to detach from them.

MINDFULNESS BENEFITS

Mindfulness was developed as a stress reduction technique, however, studies over recent decades have shown that it may also assist with the following:

  • clarity and focus
  • greater resilience
  • enhanced creativity
  • improved relationships
  • improved concentration
  • rapport and communication
  • improved health and wellbeing
  • greater confidence and self-esteem
  • better sleep
  • reduced anxiety and depression
  • greater work satisfaction
  • improved memory
  • pain reduction
